Banksy
About
In allegedly safe hands of anonymity, an infamous street artist wages war against the corrupt art industry. But him and his alter ego are always on the brink of being busted, setting up another stroke of genius.
"Banksy" is a top down stealth adventure for the Nintendo 3DS, in which you control the name giving street artist. With the spray can as the weapon of choice, you can turn into Banksy's alter ego - a graffiti rat - to overcome obstacles and to remain unseen. But be careful, as you slowly use up your paint and need to refill it. In order to use your abilities,
the game makes use of the stylus of the 3DS to "spray" on walls and objects!
Contribution Highlights
-
Implementing the $1 Unistroke Recognizer to enable the use of the stylus of the 3DS to "spray" graffiti and perform certain abilities
-
Using dynamic meshes to create the illusion of the graffiti rat being able to go around corners of a wall
-
Creation of a character controller to handle both, the 2D graffiti rat and the 3D Banksy
-
Constant performance adjustments to allow a smooth experience on the weak hardware of the 3DS
